We're seeking someone wonderful who's keen to approach businesses in the Te Aroha area and convince them to advertise on Radio Te Aroha. Previous experience in sales would be an advantage but not necessary as we'll provide all training.

The role is that of a casual contractor who'll be providing services to the Te Aroha Dramatic Society who own and operate the Te Aroha Little Theatre and Radio Te Aroha. Work your own hours and the more businesses you sign up, the more you'll earn.

• This role is essentially a part-time one with you able to work your own hours.

• The role involves approaching businesses in the Matamata/Piako district (mainly Te Aroha) and convincing them to take out a radio ad with us.

• The position is that of an independent contractor, not employee.

• Ads cost $200 for a whole year - see here.

• For every new and renewing advertiser you've signed up, we pay you $50.00. This is payable immediately when the advertiser pays us. Tax is your responsibility.

• Our only expectation is that you sign up a minimum of one new advertiser per month.

• We do the work in terms of meeting with the advertiser you've signed up and draft their ad and get it recorded. If you're also keen to voice some ads as a volunteer that'd be an added bonus.​

We know that this is an unusual arrangement but the station is owned and operated by the Te Aroha Dramatic Society which also operates the Te Aroha Little Theatre. The Society is an incorporated society and a registered charity. All of us are volunteers. The station exists solely to advertise our local community organisations and their events for free and our advertising revenue enables us to do that. More information about us is here.
